The Dreams

Hi, I'm back! So, are you ready for this post? Well basically it's more about me, like never before, the dreams I held, the goals I would like to unlock, a lot of it. Pretty sure you have one too at least, so let's explore mine!

GOALS

• To graduate from MUFY, December 2015
• To pursue my degree in WRITING AND JOURNALISM 
• To enter the best school of WRITING/&JOURNALISM
• To get a certificate from a makeup academy 
• To work as a part time makeup artist in Mac Cosmetics

A pre-u graduate under MUFY would automatically prioritise Monash University in the first place, so I'm considering Monash University, Caulfield campus ( University in Caulfield East, Victoria) in Australia. Yup, that's the dream, 3 years in Australia. Major in Journalism, minor in writing. But in Monash Malaysia they have major in writing and minor in journalism. It's either Malaysia or Australia.

I am considering Global studies as well, that would be in Monash Clayton, as I'm taking globalisation as one of the subjects here, so I'll see how progressive this subject will bring me. It's very fun learning about the world on a macro scale. BUT, I screwed my first test! Sigh, I wish I took it seriously. I like the idea of 'To travel and write' cause you get to feel the world and see how humans conquer this world by putting different classes of people in divisions, you'll see how cruel humans can be, including us. A lot are being treated with injustice and inequality. The rich gets richer, and the poor? They kept on living, in poverty. This is where writing and journalism interlinks with globalisation. Let's say, I have this dream of going to Bangladesh, maybe with the help of my roommate and some of my bangladeshi friends, to see how the labour there are being treated. 

Have you ever heard of child labour? Do you know that the goods and services provided by children are prohibited by the United States? 

Well, if you make a deep research about it, there's no such thing as prohibition. Seriously, can you indetifiy goods, whether it's from the hands of a child or by machines? The ugly truth is, these children have no choice. These labours have no right for an increment of wages. They rarely make money for a living. It's not living, it's surviving.

Adidas, Nike? How can they sponsor those who are well known for sports? They sponsored Tiger Woods, but those goods he has been wearing, came from the little hands, the wounded fingers.

John Pilger is one of the most inspiring journalist to me. I watched his videos during glob class.

So this little ideas I'm giving you, is the reason why I really want to pursue writing and journalism, to tell the world what my eyes see, what my ears hear and what my heart feels about it. 

If you know me,  you'll know how passionate I am when it comes to makeup, I just love it, It's the only art Im good at and I really love Mac Cosmetics. So after Im done with MUFY, I would like to earn a makeup certificate from any makeup academy, then only I could work with Mac Cosmetics.

1001 Happy Days

Hi lovelies, I'm back after my previous post on driving test tips. As I'm a full time student, I have to spare time for my assessments, studies and tests. It's an endless roller coaster. Okay so far, 2015 is a good kick! There's 1001 happy days, after 2 years being in a sick, depressed, lethargic condition.

God, Family, Friends, Cats. These 4 are my sugar to my tea, my creamer to my coffee, my shower gel to my hair. My happiness,  my life. 

FAMILY

Family is the love of your life. Why? No one will be there as much as your family will. They are eternal. Remember, friends come and go, but your family will always be the roots to a growing tree. They are your water in the desert. So never desert them in exchange to your friends nor your girl/boyfriend. It's not worth it. They will know for sure if you are in trouble, sad or simply just not in the mood, don't believe me? Look at what my father and brother said:-

The first time she noticed me on instagram, she liked and even commented!!

Where did I learn my passion? By discovering youtube and typed 'Michelle Phan' . That's  when my passion started to grow so deep within me, like I really want to be like her, what an inspiration! So slowly, I started collecting a lot of makeups, day by day, month by month and year by year. Suddenly I became a makeup junkie.

How did I enhance my skills? Well by constantly signing up as a member on every makeup stores I adore! Like Mac cosmetics and Sephora, this is to ensure that I won't miss any good deals and promotions. 

I always go to Sephora and Mac cosmetics and asked the makeup artist to do a tutorial on my face for free, tho it has to be just half of the face. But me being me, I kindly asked them to show me the other face, hehe! Hey, I bought a lot of makeups from Mac, I deserve it! 

In conclusion, this is me. Siti Sarah, borned and raised by a beautiful couple named Mohd Nasir and Fauziah. I grew stronger and stronger with a heart of steel, a pair of angelic wings. So girls, a friendly girl-to-girl talk, never let your lover, your crush or your almost lover like in my case, made you feel emotionally attached cause that will kill you.

Hello readers! I am finally back with a new post, sorry i was surely busy to blog. Okay, straight to the post! Today I am giving u guys all the useful tips and tricks on how to get ur license or ur P! Malaysians or international, it's applicable if u read this. I'll be telling u guys what not to do and what is mandatory, so please hold on!

First, how many parts u need to participate in order to pass? There's 2 parts! Part 2 and Part 3, Part 2 is where u'll be doing from Rutin Pemeriksaan Kenderaan (RPK) or the so called Routine Vehicle Inspections, Rutin Sebelum Memandu (RSM) or Routine Before Driving. Next, u'll have to continue with the hill test, parking, 3 pointer and Selekoh Z and Selekoh S or in english, it is just a Z-shaped and S-shaped road (this is the easiest part, but the easiest came in last)

Part 3 is where you'll be tested on the road with the Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan (JPJ). Here u'll start with RSM and CITO (I'll explain this later)

Okay guys here is the documents, that u can see what u need to do and what is mandatory, just in case u were too nervous and clumsy, u might forget to do these mandatory steps which is an automatic disqualification or in other word, u just failed.

Okay guys now that u have read everything that is mandatory for u to pass now let's go to the notes ay

For Bahagian 3/ Part 3 or as known as the on the road test

I don't know about you guys but i took my license at Skem Driving Academy in Gombak,so it differs from one place to another as the road will be different as well, however here is the tips to pass the test :-

As u are waiting for the JPJ to score the student before u, go ahead, please wait outside until the student went off, then give salam (if u're a muslim) or say good morning/afternoon/evening to the JPJ on duty.

I am warning you, please please pleasee if u have the chance choose a guy on duty instead of a lady cause a lady...they'll be on their period all the time even if they're not. Let me tell u based on my experience for the first time i was tested which i failed.

I was too nervous and i couldn't control it, then i waited for the JPJ to finish scoring the guy before me, as i entered the car, i didn't quickly close the door, but that's not the problem. Even as i waited outside, she seemed so pissed off on something. Maybe she's tired or maybe she hates her job.

So i could feel that this it a bad sign. She scolded and shouted at me for not closing the doors quickly, i mean like "hello, i paid for this test, could u please be patient lady?" but of course i kept it to myself or else i'll never pass until today.

This was my first test so the syllabus was very different from the one i'm telling you guys now, this is just a story so yeah. When she scolded me, i forgot almost everything, so i turned off the engine cause i thought that was how my teacher taught me. Then she shouted again and scolded "WOI KAU BUAT APA NI,TAK BELAJAR KE" it means in english "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?DID U EVEN LEARN HOW TO DRIVE?!!" It was harsh but i did not cry just yet. As i was too nervous, with the engine off, i tried to give a signal to the right and she was taking a long note on what i did. Then i turned on the engine and gave the signal and straight away drove to the nearest traffic light. U should have known that in the road test, ur car engine SHOULD NOT be dead more than twice as the effect of you FULLY LIFTING ur left leg from the clutch paddle, if u're using gear 1, you should press and hold ur clutch while pushing the gas/oil paddle. Because of this, i failed. She asked me to switch places, the funniest parts was, i wasn't even on the road yet, that angry lady failed me while we're still in the driving school. IT SUCKS. If a JPJ on duty asked you to switch places with him/her, it means u had just fail.

I failed the first part of the first test on Bahagian 2/ Part 2 , which was the hill test. Please be informed that this was the old syllabus so there was no Rutin Pemeriksaan Kenderaan (RPK)/ Routine Vehicle Inspections, Rutin Sebelum Memandu (RSM) or Routine Before Driving.

Why i failed? Cause as i was driving up the hill and stopped in the yellow line, i think my car had reverse a bit and went out of the yellow line. They saw it that's why they asked me to get out. But i was fine cause no one was shouting nor scolding at me, cause unlike the road test lady, what was the point of you shouting and scolding me cause i failed anyway. Does it change anything for you to scold me that bad? I want to write ur name here, it starts with an A and ends with the letter N. One word, 7 letters. But I'm kind enough not to tell it here, cause it's not noble of me doing that. So i forgive you, i forgave u actually, long time ago. No worries madam!


NOTES FOR ON ROAD/BAHAGIAN 3/PART3

This test will begin in front of Dewan Cempaka and will end at the same place where it starts.

As u enter the car, u need to do :-

RUTIN SEBELUM MEMANDU OR ROUTINE BEFORE DRIVING

*Step 1 until 12 needs to be explained to the JPJ on duty
*You need to communicate with the JPJ

IN MALAY

1.Pastikan handbreak ditarik
2.Letak pergelangan tangan di atas stereng
3.Laraskan tempat duduk
4.Laraskan cermin sisi dan cermin pandang belakang
5.Pastikan kunci kereta diletakkan di on
6.Check tekometer dan RPM (Tunjuk dan cakap mana signal hand break,minyak pelincir,keadaan engine,seatbelt,bateri)
7.Bagi signal kanan dan kiri
8.Pusing lampu kecik dan lampu besar
9.Tarik wiper ke dalam dan tolak ke bawah dan ke atas
10.Tekan hazard light
11.Tekan hon
12.Pastikan seatbelt boleh ditarik dan pasangkan seatbelt

IN ENGLISH

1.Make sure the hand break is pulled
2.Put ur wrist on the steering
3.Adjust ur seat position
4.Adjust side mirrors and rear view mirror
5.Make sure the car key is positioned at 'on'
6.Check the tachometer and RPM on ur dashboard (Point it out and explain where is the signals for hand break,lubricants,engine condition,seatbelt and the battery)
7.Give signals,to the right and to the left
8.Twist the small and big car lights
9.Pull the wiper inwards and push it downwards and upwards
10.Push the hazard light
11.Press hon
12.Make sure ur seatbelt is adjustable and fasten ur seatbelt

*CITO needs to be explained to the JPJ on duty
*You need to communicate with the JPJ

1.U need to explain to the JPJ that when u look into the mirror (Cermin) that there is no obstacles/halangan
2.U need to say that u are giving the signal to where u want to go
3.U need to say and look back to the blindspot (titik buta) so that there's no obstacles
4.U need to start moving (Step in the clutch/klac and hold it) while on gear 1 (NEVER LET GO) while supporting the gas/oil (minyak) paddle
5.When u start moving, u can slowly lift ur left leg and just support the gas/oil/minyak paddle
6.At the roundabout it is MANDATORY to give a signal (to the right)
7.There's a small bumper as u are going down a hill,give a signal ( to the right )
8.Please press the clutch and the break when going down the slope/hill
9.Don't press the gas/oil/minyak paddle or u'll die
10.Before going to the main road please press the clutch and the break, free the gear and pull the hand break.
11.Through the holes of both right and left of the walls, please look for incoming cars
12.When it's clear, press the clutch and with gear 1,while supporting the gas/oil/minyak paddle slowly turn right
13.When ur tachometer reached 20km, press clutch and with gear 2 ( left and rearward) or in malay tolak gear tu ke kiri dan kebelakang dan kebelakang yes kebelakang dua kali
14.Upon reaching 30km, press clutch and with gear 3 (12 o'clock) it's easier to free the gear and just push the gear towards the north (mcm tolak ke depan mcm pukul 12pm tu)
15.Maintain ur speed at 30km/h because there's a hospital nearby
16.Upon passing by the hospital just maintain ur speed at 40km/h
17.When u go straight and see stones on ur left side of the road,start dropping ur speed to 20km by pressing the clutch and the break then only change it to gear 2. Press clutch and with gear 2 ( left and rearward) or in malay tolak gear tu ke kiri dan kebelakang dan kebelakang yes kebelakang dua kali
18.Drop ur speed to 10km/h by doing the same method as no 13 then only change it to gear 1 (push the gear forward from the position of the gear 2) if u want to free the gear first, then push left and upwards
19.With gear 1, u need to u-turn by pressing and holding the clutch and support it with by pressing the gas/oil/minyak paddle
20. Before you went straight away to the road, give signal to the right and look into the side mirrors if there's any vehicles
21.If there isn't any,then slowly drive forward
22.Speed up until 20km/h then change to gear 2
23.Speed up until 30km/h then change to gear 3
24.Just maintain the speed until u see the hospital the slow down to 30km/h
25.When u see the orange shop,drop ur speed to 20km/h then to 10km/h
26.Give a signal to the left and slowly lift the ur leg from the clutch paddle
27.Push the gas/oil/minyak paddle as hard as u can
28.Then stop at where u start by pushing the clutch and break
29.Free the gear and pull the hand break
30.Wait for the JPJ to evaluate u

*Please beware of hazards like potholes (lubang jalan) and animals especially monkey, press hon if u need to
*Use the right technique to overtake vehicles
*Tap break when u're at the bends of the road

*For the Selekoh Z and Selekoh S u just need to use gear 1 and be careful not to let ur car tyres get into the holes of the roads or else u'll fail.
*Don't use the gas/oil/minyak paddle at the bends, control using the clutch and the break paddles
*ALWAYS PRESS THE CLUTCH PADDLE FIRST THEN ONLY THE BREAK PADDLE
*Just follow the road of the z-shaped and s-shaped roads (SUPER EASY)

Trip to London and Paris 2014-2015

London 23/12/2014-29/12/2014

We arrived at London Heathrow airport around 4pm in the evening but surprisingly it was dark as if it's already midnight.It was my first time there so it was shocking.

Later we took the metro to Lancaster Gate where we stayed at an apartment named Go Native for 6 nights.We were tired and hungry so my mom quickly grabbed our luggage full of Malaysian food and cooked something i could not remember,maybe it was "nasi impit and kuah kacang" . Then we cleanse ourselves and off to bed.

24/12/2014(Christmas' eve) - To Oxford street and Winter Wonderland

We alll woke up but still felt a bit tired,so we planned to walk around in the evening before it starts to get dark. 

We once again took the metro to stop at Oxford Circus, basically it's a street full of shop,u name it they have it all. We entered a few shops but ended up in Clarks, I bought a pair of flat shoes and off we go to winter wonderland.

We walked through the windy icy air,it was cold and I felt a bit numb, around 10 to 15 mins or so we arrived in Winter Wonderland but it was dark already, it was hugeee and beautiful.The lights surely were mesmerizing!Grabbed my camera and snapped some good shots,well actually a lot!

Then we head to this food stall selling hot chocolates,oh just what we needed. Seeing the next stall,we saw churros! I never had one so I bought choc churros while my brother bought spiced and sugar sprinkles if im not mistaken. We bought tokens to play around. But most of the rides needed like 6 tokens, we only had 4 tokens each, so the three of us walked around to snap a lot of photos plus a few selfies, here's a decent one.

While my second brother, Zuhair accompanied my mom to sit and rest. Later my lil bro, Anas using his own pennies wanted to shoot some good prize using corks, haha luck wasn't on our side,we didn't win any. As we head home,we still had our tokens. Not wanting to burn them we had this weird ride by just running around inside the playhouse.There was rollers that we had to run on, I slipped! (we actually had to buy one more token to valid)

25/12/2014(Christmas) - The Italian fountains-Hyde Park

As today is Christmas day, most of the shops and the public transport are closed. But not the arab shop selling groceries close by ,thank god! We had to have some juice and snacks. In the morning, we went to the Italian fountains in Hyde Park, we walked around and snap a few selfies and photos. It was such a beautiful view, most of the people there were foreigners. Then we head home to rest for the whole day.

26/12/2014 - Oxford Street

We had breakfast and got ready to shop till we drop for the rest of the day in Oxford Street. Before we split into two, we went to this street where it has most of the high end products there, the meaning of high end products is pricy stuffs like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Michael Kors and so on.  I could not remember what street it was, but it was near to Oxford street, it was just walking distance.Here is Victoria's secret.

But everything was closed so we head back to oxford street.


We split into two teams,the ladies and the guys. We,the ladies went to lots of shop.First we went to Debenhams, a department store. My mom and my sister bought quite a few shirts and dresses,i bought none,wasn't impressed with the design tho.

Next,we went upstairs for home deco. We bought a few stuffs there. Moving on, we went to Forever 21,H&M and other shops that i could not recall. Then we entered once again,clarks. Guess what? I bought myself a total of 4 pairs of shoes just from one store, what a crazy sale!
By the way, during winter, there is boxing day sale (it's quite similar to black friday in the United States) where most of the shops in London will be knocking down their price to a good deal, so you can prepare yourselves to save more!

28/12/2014-Oxford street

Up in the morning we head to oxford street again for our last spree in London. Our goal was to shop in Primark ( a cheap department store). But as we arrived there it was still closed and most shoppers are already in line to shop. But we took it slow and shopped at other retail stores until Primark is opened. Then we all went in our own ways and shopped a lot,i found lipsticks,clothes,shoes,gloves,even onesies!(but i did not buy any).

Tips and tricks to survive the shopping maniac for my beloved readers :-

1. Wear proper and comfortable attire including sports shoes, long pants are the best.
2. Make sure u're full before u went shopping
3. Bring ur own water and snacks in ur bag
4. Make a budget before u start shopping
5. Know ur size! From top to toe, including ur inner wear (So u wouldn't have to wait for the long queue at the fitting room!)
6. Primark provides you shopping bags and trolleys so don't bring yours from home!
7. Start counting the price of each of the items u picked to save time at the cashier
8. For muslims, take ur wudhu' at home, and please go to the other retail stores to pray in their fitting room (don't worry if u're not done with shopping, ask ur family and friends to look after ur unpaid stuffs)

It was a long day so we had to go home except for my elder brother, he's not done yet. The ladies including me had to do some packing (my fav part) for Paris,we're leaving at 2am for the cab to fetch us.

29/12/2014- Heading to Paris

We headed to Paris by Air France airlines, they served us croissant and coffee (tips for muslim readers, please make sure it's halal, this means that it is a plain croissant not with meat inside), it only took about 40 mins to reach Charles de gaulle airport.

After taking our luggage and passed the security, a young man said "taxi" and I was stunned as he spoke fluent english, I asked my mother and sister to respond to this guy to take us to the embassy of Malaysia. He offered us a good price of €70 even though he was not a legal cab driver.

Finally after a long ride we reached the house, the weather was cold,as i touched the ground it was icy. We were welcomed by my mother's friend back in Bukit Antarabangsa, Puan Sri Suriati whom her husband (my father's friend from Bukit Antarabangsa as well) works in Paris. His name is Tan Sri Ismail bin Ismail, he is a former national police chief, he used to report to the Prime Minister. I have so much respect for him as he is very humble, helpful and kind.

Sooner or later, my mom checked her whatsapp where she was informerd that her high school classmate died in an airplane to Paris, knowing this, it is a full responsiblity of the embassy of Malaysia to solve this matter, Tan Sri took a good care of it, he even went to see the body and joined the other muslims to "solat jenazah" and he even gave his luggage to put the late man's clothes to give it back to his wife, Al-fatihah, may Allah ease the pain ur family has been going through. My mother and her friends said that the late man has always been a nice student and a nice man as he grew up.

This is an appreciation post for both Tan Sri and Puan Sri for having such a big warm heart to let us stayed for 2 nights at their house in Paris. We had tea and "cucur udang". My sister and i headed upstairs to put our luggage. I used the lift instead tho my sister insisted on taking the stairs. Finally our own room,it was huge,they had 2 queen sized bed in a room attached to a bathroom. We slept through the day after praying while my mom and her friend still catching up with their stories.

30/12/2014- Eiffel tower-Champs De Elysees-La fayette

Eiffel tower- We took the train (Warning to readers, if u plan to go to Paris, this is a warning,please be careful, take care of ur belongings, the public transport in Paris is widely know for pick pockets, there has been a lot of cases before)  to Eiffel tower using tickets.

There was a lot of african american guys selling these lovely souvenirs for foreigners in Paris, the funniest part were they knew that we are Malaysians and they even said "Mari,mari,murah murah" which was kinda smart. Btw,we only went from a distance to see the tower,we did not go underneath the tower to see their rusty tower which a lot of people has referred Eiffel tower as.

Then we headed to Champs De Elysees for a shopping spree, mom was looking for LV. Just so you know we had to queue for a while,you bet the price was a good deal. The customer service was the best! He was friendly and fluent in english but with a French accent. We even entered sephora and bought myself a mac eyeliner and lipstick!

It was cheap in euro for sure! We went around town to look for my mom's friend skincare that she wanted called Guinot, but it was nowhere to be found so we had to head back home.

Before home our last stop was La fayette, as long as I could remember we did not buy anything there as mom already got what she wanted and I wasn't thrilled to buy anything, we queued for Prada but it was too long that we left.

31/12/2014-Last day in Paris

Today Tan Sri brought us to buy the finest chocolates in Paris called La Maison Du Chocolat, we requested for free alcohol and liquor chocs. They even give free testing. The lady in charged that day helped us picked the finest chocs.

After that we head back home where Puan Sri (on the right) brought us to walk around her housing area,

We went to lots of street shops, I even bought makeups which was the only thing I spent for in Paris,it is called Kiko Cosmetics, I found their lipsticks had a similar scent to Mac's. Might be the perfect dupe.

Besides they are super affordable! It is only rm10 per lipstick if we convert it to Ringgit Malaysia.Mother bought cherries and chocolates.

Let me tell you something, not only Malaysia has beggars by the street. In Paris, there was a lot, the one that i admired the most was, their dogs sat next to them and begged together, it's true, a man's bestfriend is a dog)

Well in London they have beggars too, but not a lot.

We did some packing and left the house by cab,this time it is legal, for your information, Tan Sri was the one who made the cab booking for us, thank you so much, u have such a warm heart, god bless!We left around 5 and reached at 6.45pm. Our flight was at 9pm.

1/1/2015-New year in Thistle Hotel + Best day ever

We reached the hotel, as we unpack, we heard fireworks, I looked through the windows and there it was, blooming and shooting the skies with colorful sparks in London eye. As gloomy as i felt inside, I was glad that we're back in London.

Today was the best day ever because I got to meet and spent the best quality time with my ciwaa, she is currently studying in Queen Marry University of London, one future petite doctor!

Dear Shahirah, I know you're reading this, I love you, I will always miss your lame jokes, I miss the three of us (Shaza,Sheera,Sarah). I miss talking about our fav movie, The White Chicks. I wish you joy, prosperity and protection from Allah. I am so glad that u made it to London, u deserve it, cause u earn it! Thank you dearly, for being so patient with me cause I had to shop a lot.

We went to Oxford Street to shop for my friends' and mine hehe. Fossil,Forever 21, H&M, New Look and countless steps around the street.

Wow london people took their New Year seriously, hey of course. As we were heading home there's this street seller lady wanted to sell something to us, it was funny cause she said "mari,mariii,hadiaaaah" and as we went off, the one that hit us the most was " Siti Nurhalizaaaaaa" We laughed our ass off cause why Siti Nurhaliza?!Why not Siti Sarah haha (i can sing too)

We called it a day and went back to my hotel,before that we bought some souvenirs for my friends

Finally we reached the hotel,i packed my stuffs and had the best way to cleanse myself in the tub

2/1/2015- End of trip

13 hours of flight,i was never ready,but everything went well till home,until next time guys!Thanks for reading :D
